Restauratie Emily's rode Gibson ES-330.
Door brand is de gitaar (tegenwoordig in bezit van Guy & Susan Kurshenoff) zwaar beschadigd.
Om dit unieke instrument te kunnen laten restaureren, een verzoek bij te dragen aan de inzameling.

Het verzoek:
"We had one prized belonging damaged in our house fire that was not completely covered by insurance - the iconic Gibson ES-330 guitar that was the primary instrument of the late, great jazz musician (and our friend) Emily Remler.
This instrument (pictured below) was given to Susan by Emily's mother upon Emily's passing.
Insurance gave us just $3500 of the $9000 required by Gibson for the restoration of this important guitar, and so we have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise the rest.
All donations to restore this piece of jazz history, large or small, are welcome.
Thank you to all who have already donated - we are about 1/4 towards our our goal!"

Zaterdagavond 26 juli 2008 opende het Manchester Jazzfestival (UK) met een
tribute door het duo Deirdre Cartwright & Kathy Dyson: 'Remembering Emily'.
Op het programma stond o.a.: Softly as in a Morning Sunrise,
How Insensitive,
Blues for Herb,
Joy Spring.
Ook in 2009 geven Deirdre Cartwright & Kathy Dyson tribute-concerten.
